Hey #omonifam how are you all faring? I am excited!!! We are starting our 30 day smoothie challenge today! It’s all about getting those much needed fruits and veggies into our system and giving our digestive system a bit of rest from too much work digesting 3 meals a day.
So we are on! Replace breakfast, lunch or dinner with a smoothie. It will be great for your hair, skin and general health!

I am a healthy lifestyle buff! I’m sure most of you already know this…lol. I am constantly looking for some healthy living tip or the other. On a more serious note though, we already know that we are part of the great statistics…10 out 10 will die! (I don’t mean to be spooky) but it is unfortunately true. On the go!!! I had a conversation with my dear friend Ufuoma Ejenobor McDermott and we went on about our busy schedules and how much we had to do. She said to me ‘Omoni I can’t tell you to slow down because we have to work hard in our youth so we don’t have to work when we are older’ I totally agree! I believe now is the time to get up and make the most of our ‘hay days’! No excuses! Chase your dreams and whatever you do, make sure you put a little away periodically for the evening years!!!

DON’T HATE!!!

As we all know, social media is free for all! You can pretty much say whatever on social media today and get away with it. Knowing this, many people have hidden behind anonymity to vent hate and frustrations on others. I was scrolling through Instagram on this beautiful Monday morning and I saw a LOT of hate on a young lady’s pictures because of an outfit she wore to an event yesterday and I thought to myself, this is so unfair! You really can’t stop people from hating or cussing you out but if you must do it, why do it to the person’s face? When you leave hateful comments on a person’s Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or whatever social media handle, it’s like standing in front of them and hurling insults at them! (more…)

MY SUPER SWEET SIXTEEN…LOL!

How do I begin to say THANK YOU? The love that you showed me yesterday was mind blowing! I started my day out of town. The hotel woke me up with roses and a cake which I ended up sharing with the front office staff when I was checking out cos I couldn’t carry it with me. I was shocked they knew it was my birthday. I was more taken aback when I got on social media and saw thousands of messages. If I didn’t personally say thank you to you, please accept my apologies and accept this as a heart felt thank you! The messages were A LOT!
