30 DAY SMOOTHIE CHALLENGE DAY 6

Hey #omonifam! How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun? I did!!! I spent the weekend in…wait for it…very exciting…bed!!! I spent the weekend in bed! For me, that’s super exciting! Rest is so important and I don’t get a lot of it often so when I do, I love it! I can see the difference in my skin! Looks fresher and well rested.

How are we faring with our smoothie challenge? I am loving it!
Well, I have good news, the good people at ‘So Fresh Neighbourhood Market’ know that sometimes we are just too busy or we just can’t be bothered to make our own juices and smoothies so they have been gracious enough to gift me 2 weeks supply of smoothies (I worked with them on the recipe). I am excited!
I have decided to gift out 5 days smoothie cups to a lucky follower. You have to reside in the Lekki, Surulere, Ikeja axis though for ease of delivery by the So Fresh Market team. While I decide how the 5 days smoothie cups will be won, enjoy today’s recipe. Full of yummy goodness!!!

  2. I’ve fallen in love with avocado pear + pineapple, a touch of garlic sometimes. Just a bit of it. Heavenly! And I hope I win a free cup of smoothie too *wink*

    I’m currently on 2/3 days a week but hopefully I can stick to daily. I still have to buy the smoothie from a store next to me. I think it’s just best to get the smoothie maker…okay bye. Thanks for the challenge

    Babes, thanks a lot, I did papaya, watermelon, cucumber and ugu leaf. It was awesome. Did I need to filter after blending? Having my smoothie here in d office. How can I send pictures

        I am currently fisnnhiig up my BA in Child Development and Family Studies and thus far I have only work with children from 2 weeks to adolescent while helping support their families. The Physician that I would want to work under is an Obstetrics (OB) because they are in direct contact with pregnant women and their children during pregnancy. I would choose this particular specialty for a variety of reason such as having the opportunity to see individuals become parent for the first time, seeing how much love is surrounded in the process, being there to help the mothers while there in a vulnerable state. One of my main reasons is because I think that the whole birthing process is fascinating and to be able to be a part of family’s lives while going through this process, I imagine to be extremely rewarding.A of physician specialty that I would least want to work with would be a psychiatrist. Although I believe that psychiatrist do some spectacular work and help a lot of people through difficult situations I personally believe that this job would be to emotionally draining and overwhelming for me. This makes me question whether or not I would be able to handle it. When I set out to do a job my goal is to do the best that I can and I don’t feel that I could successfully do this job to the best of my ability.

    Halo Mummy,I luv ur good works. I had a baby last two months,I really want to know if I should try the 30 days smoothies.bcos presently ma baby is exclusively breastfeeded.i really need to control my intake of food.will it affect ma breastmilk if I reduce ma intake of food and take more of fruits.

      Congrats dear! You can join the challenge but eat your two other meals. You can have healthy alternatives. For instance, instead of white bread, eat brown bread. Eat brown rice instead of white and more vegetables. Good luck and I hope you read the blog post ROBBING PETER TO PAY PAUL 2…how to make baby sleep through the night. Much love

  13. I really love your physique and healthy way of living; ma’am. I really wish I could have smoothies and fruits throughout the day. I want to start gradually with one smoothie a day but the constraint is accessibility to such fruits regularly.

      Hey dear, you have to watch what you eat. Reduce your carbohydrates, don’t eat late. Your last meal should be by 6pm and try to incorporate more fruits and veggies in your diet. Plus exercise! Very important!

    Hi aunty Omoli, pls I sincerely need ur advice. I will be wedding by October this year by the grace of God and cos after marriage its pregnancy so I became so reluctant about going thru with the smoothie challenge cos I felt I will still pile on the weight during pregnancy. pls advice me on what to do? should I continue with the loosing weight or should I just forget it and start after giving birth. am 24 and weighing 73kg at the moment. Tanx love and am patiently waiting for ur reply. God bless u

      My darling, please loose as much weight as you can before you get pregnant. If you don’t, what happens is you pile on weight. I always lost weight before each pregnancy. Good luck with the wedding!

    Hello omoni.i love your movies and think you are a great actress.i intend joining the 30 day detox challenge on smoothies but do have a question. How do I preserve the veggies?can I refrigerate them and use afterwards I.e blending frozen veggies.2.I go to work in the morning and back in the evening,do I take my blender along ?

      You can certainly freeze your fruits and veggies. I always freeze my bananas and my spinach. Blend and take with you to work. You can also refrigerate leftover smoothies. Cheers

    Hello dear,please can i blend all the fruits and veggies i need for the challenge and refrigerate afterwards? I’d probably pour out the quantity i want anytime..How healthy is that cos i might have problem with getting them done everyday..Thanks

      You can store for about 2 or 3 days as long as you refrigerate properly. Cheers

      Hey dear, to loose weight, you have to have a lot of self discipline. It’s a combination of diet and fitness. You’ve got to cut down your food intake especially carbohydrates and then increase your activity through routine exercise
