Hey Naturalista! Having A Bad Hair Day?

Hey Naturalista! Having a bad hair day? Ain’t nobody got time for that!
Like I have said many times, becoming a Naturalista is one of the best decisions I ever made. My hair is so much healthier and I feel an almost spiritual connection to my hair…lol.

You see, I am on a mission, a mission to change that notion that some people have, that being a Naturalista means your hair is dirty looking, probably smelly and unkempt. See we all have our bad hair days even with relaxed hair. There is however, no excuse to go around with dull, unkempt hair. Look around you, there are so many beautiful women rocking their natural hair who have lovely healthy looking hair all the time!

Now I know we are all busy and sometimes, it’s almost impossible to make your hair look nice and there are those days the hair just refuses to behave! Lol! Good news!!! There are wigs and hats for such days! Invest in wigs and hats so that on bad hair days, you have them handy. Or for when you want to do a little protective styling! As much as you can, don’t go out with your hair not looking great!

You see, your hair and skin are one of the first things that people notice when they see you for the first time. Your hands including your nails are equally very important since these tell a lot about you and your life. It is for this reason that it is vital to take care of them and keep them looking great at all times!
If your hair, skin and nails need a little boost, there are tons of vitamins for those. Talk to your pharmacist or your doctor for a recommendation. I hope this motivates a fellow naturalista!
Ps: Do you henna? I do and it’s great for my hair! Let me know if you want a post on henna tomorrow!
Hugs and kisses!

Thanks for the tips. I would love to know more about henna. I have heard great reviews about it, but some say it makes the hair brownish. I love my raven black hair, and I am not interested in colouring.

I am also natural and I made the decision to go natural because of my daughter. I am happy I did because she is proud of her natural coils and I do not have to explain to her why her hair looks different from mine.
I would love to read about henna on your blogs.

I use a lot of natural oils like Shea, coconut, almond and some essential oils. Moisturise a lot cos natural hair needs a lot of moisture. For mama Iyabo, massage the front of your hair every night with an essential oil like tea tree oil or peppermint. Hope this helps!
